Bhutan Family Adventure

We will spend the second day exploring Thimphu, the country's capital. after visits to the Institute of Traditional Medicine, the Art School, and the National Library. After lunch, we'll go to a city temple where the kids can interact with younger monks and have a discussion with them before they cast their own small stupa, known as Tsa-Tsa.

We'll go further into the nation on the third day when we arrive at Punakha, a warm valley. On the way, we'll pause at the Dochu La Pass for refreshments. There will be a chance for you to visit the Botanical Garden nearby. When we get to Punakha, we'll walk across the valley for a short while to see the temple of the divine madman, Chimi Lhakand, which is guaranteed to cause curiosity in the eyes of the younger visitors. After that, we'll head to a farm house where we'll join the locals for a traditional butter tea.

On the fourth day, begin the day with a little hike to the Khamsun Yuelley temple and then continue on the one-hour butterfly route. Get aboard the raft and take in the leisurely flow of the Moo Chhu River following a lunch in the countryside. As you arrive at Punakha Dzong, be in awe of the scenery.

We are going to return to Thimphu this morning. We'll go to the post office once we get in the capital city, where the family will be photographed and your own stamp will be made. Postcards bearing your personal stamp can now be sent! We're going to the Buddha Dordenma this afternoon. Climb the Buddha Point Trail through the nature park, keeping an eye out for the statue. The 5-kilometer journey back to the starting point is completed with a swift descent along the northern side of the mountains.

on the sixth day, we'll take a short drive to reach the quaint city of Haa. We'll have a picnic by the river following our tour of the Dzong. We'll check into the farm house where you'll be staying this afternoon. You can visit the farm, interact with the animals, learn how to prepare traditional Bhutanese cuisine, explore the property, or practice archery and darts.

On the seventh day, we'll go to Paro by road. You'll hope, ride, and wheel down to Paro after we reach the Chele La pass. We'll visit the Ta dzong in Paro, the former watchtower that is now home to the National Museum.You'll print your own prayer flags the old-fashioned way in the late afternoon.

We will hike the two hours to the famous Tiger's Nest on the seventh day. Remember to hang your vibrant prayer flags while hiking. There will be free time in the afternoon. We'll plan a family-only cultural performance for the evening.

On your final morning, get up early and take a leisurely stroll about Paro City. We'll stop briefly en route to the airport so that each participant can plant a tree, helping to offset the carbon footprint of your journey to Bhutan.
