Itinerary

You'll arrive in Canggu and check into your hotel, which sits right in the middle of town and puts you within walking distance of Echo Beach and Batu Balong. After settling in, meet up with your group for sunset drinks on a rooftop, then head to a welcome dinner at the hotel to kick things off.

This day is all about surfing. There's an optional guided lesson available from an instructor at a local spot that doesn't get overrun with tourists. The rest of your time is open, so you can hang out on the beach, try a yoga or workout class, or paddle out again if you want more waves. At dinner, you'll go through your surf photos from the day and celebrate your last night in Canggu.

You'll drive from Canggu to Pemuteran, passing through rural Bali with rice fields and greenery around you the whole way. Along the drive, stop at Banyumala Waterfalls, then meet a local family who'll show you their coffee-making methods passed down through generations. Check in at your eco-lodge and spend the evening on the beach, walking around the village, or relaxing at your place.

Spend the full day snorkeling the reefs around Menjangan Island in Bali West National Park. You'll see tons of different underwater life throughout the day. When the tide cooperates, grab lunch on the island itself, and you might catch sight of the native deer. Later, visit the Biorock Project to see the largest coral planting operation in the world.

Leave Pemuteran and head to Ubud, a town packed with art galleries and surrounded by jungle. Once you arrive and check in, the afternoon and evening are yours to wander through busy markets, check out quiet temples, or simply sit and take in the vibe of the place.

Start by visiting Monkey Forest Temple to hang out with the monkeys there. Then go to Tegallalang Rice Terraces, which you'll recognize from Instagram feeds everywhere. Next is a visit to a water temple where you'll participate in a purification ceremony and make an offering. After that, the rest of your day opens up, so you can explore coffee farms, try the famous swing, join a yoga session, or book a massage.

Get up early and hike Mount Batur on a fairly short but steep route so you can grab the best spot for sunrise. Once the sun comes up, enjoy a coffee and take in the views. From the crater's edge, you'll see a full 360-degree view of Batur Lake and all the villages and landscapes surrounding it. Spend the rest of the day back in Ubud taking it easy.

Travel to Sanur and take a quick ferry over to Nusa Penida. Check into your boutique hotel and start exploring the island's highlights. Visit Kelingking Beach, Broken Beach, and Angel Billabong, which are all famous photo spots. Wrap up the day watching the sunset at Crystal Bay.

Board a private boat and explore Nusa Penida's tiny bays and inlets. Your captain will guide you to the best spots for snorkeling where you can see Manta Bay, colorful fish, turtles, and more. The main event is Manta Bay itself, which has some of the highest concentrations of manta rays anywhere. Later on, head to Diamond Beach Viewpoint on the east side of the island.

Take a short ferry from Nusa Penida to Gili T, known for great snorkeling, sea turtles, and a lively nightlife scene. Check in and have lunch, then get around the island by bike since cars aren't allowed here. Relax at the hotel's beach club pool overlooking the water, then join a sunset beach cleanup with the Gili Eco Trust. Your evening is free to catch a movie on the beach or explore Gili T's nightlife.

Set out on a private boat trip to see all the main attractions around Gili T, including swimming with turtles and checking out the famous underwater statues and coral formations. The evening is yours to walk around, try different restaurants, and visit some of the reggae bars in the area.

Board a boat back to mainland Bali from Gili T. You'll be driven back to Canggu where everything started. Say goodbye to the group, then decide what's next: stay in nearby spots like Seminyak or Uluwatu to extend your time, or head to the airport for your flight home.
